By now, most people are aware of the changing landscape of work as well as changing perception among employees.
There are plenty of articles on this in business and management magazines, i,e. Harvard Business Review, Business Insider, Inc.com.
We wanted to see it for ourselves. On May 19, as part of our Worklab Series, we invited a group of business leaders in Singapore and Asia to participate in a forum on the future of work – what are their current challenges, and what are the possible solutions.
The key takeaways:
- Employees are becoming customers.
- It has never been easier to switch jobs. The internet now allows job matching to occur faster and at a more massive scale. Employee motivation are also shifting, with more and more employees focusing on filling their “intrinsic” bucket.
- Organisations need to adapt on aligning its purpose with individuals, by driving department purpose, personal brand and trust within the organisation.
